  • Your teacher will divide you into the four different groups: Company CEO&Team, doctors, altheles and parents.

  • In order to keep your group organized, you should assign roles for each member. For example, researcher, organizer, timekeeper, etc.

  • You will use the resrouces available to you under the 'student resrources' tab to research and find evidence to support your position. 

  • Make sure you develop your position thouroughly; you can use the guiding questions below to direct your thoughts.

Guiding Questions: 

 

  • What health effects are associated with energy drinks? what chemicals present in energy drinks pose the most dangerous effects to the drinker?

  • What are the side effects of the ingredients in energy drinks? 

    • effects on children? on teenagers? on adults?

  • Are there any benefits to consuming energy drinks? 

  • What evdience has there been regarding the dangers of energy drinks on teenagers? 

  • Should energy drinks be banned completely or only controlled (as in, sold only to adults)? should the ban be dependent on the amount of caffiene present in the drink?
